About Us

Dr. Jon Petrick

A strong believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Jon Petrick served on the Board of Directors of Opportunity Village before starting KISMIF, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing recreational and leisure programs and resources for individuals with mental and physical disabilities.

 

In 2001 Petrick became the Clinical Director and head Chiropractic Physician of the Las Vegas Pain Relief Center,  a multi-disciplinary practice. Treating professional athletes, Nevada residents and patients from all over the world, he is known as one of the most respected pain management doctors on the west coast and a leader in treating soft tissue injuries with his advanced techniques.

 

In addition to managing his practice, Jon has been a part of the medical team on FOX Sports "Ultimate Fighter Championship" (UFC) reality TV show since 2007 and has also treated and conditioned athletes from the NBA, NHL. NFL, MLB, Major League Soccer and Olympic BMZ, along with celebrities and professional golf and tennis players.

 

A  bestselling author, Petrick published  a practical guide for living a self-sustainable life called GET OFF YOUR PATH in 2016. He has also written stories for or been mentioned in a number of publications including Muscle Development Magazine, Oxygen, Men's Health, Flex  Mi Mundo and on BodyBuilding.com

The KISMIF (Keep It Simple - Make It Fun) Foundation began in 2009, when Dr. Petrick and a diverse group of people with varied talents and abilities launched a grassroots effort to educate the greater Las Vegas community about disability-related issues in Nevada. The resulting vision was to build an Independent Living Center that serves as a one-stop resource for all people with disabilities.

Daniel McCarty

 

Daniel McCarty, 15, serves as Ambassador for KISMIF programs. From a young age, Dan's enthusiasm and wit have enabled him to engage with people of all abilities. Whether in the classroom, on the ballfield or in the community, Daniel shares his passion for inclusion and disability advocacy with everyone he meets. His long-term goals include obtaining a teaching degree and becoming a high school baseball coach. Daniel looks forward to expanding KISMIF programs and engaging people throughout Nevada and the United States.

Billy Eddins, serves as President of KISMIF Foundation.  

Delivering Excellence

KISMIF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. 78 percent of contributions go directly to the KISMIF programs and campaigns, with 22 percent being applied to administrative costs and services. KISMIF is on its way to Premier Status with GUIDESTAR.com and a member of the Better Business Bureau.
